✨NOW PRESENTING✨ Our last main stage show of the 2024 season…. PLAY ON!

In a hilarious love letter to theatre lovers, Play On! is the madcap tale of a theatre group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. The audience will journey through this dreadful show’s rehearsal process, dress rehearsal, and actual performance. From beginning to end, everything that can go wrong does for this whacky ensemble!

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN (In Order of Appearance)

- AGGIE MANVILLE (female) – a stage manager and prompter

- GERALDINE “GERRY” DUNBAR (female) – a community theatre director

- HENRY BENISH (male) – a character actor who plays Lord Dudley

- POLLY BENISH (female) – a character actor who plays Lady Margaret

- MARLA “SMITTY” SMITH (female) – a supporting actor who plays Doris the Maid

- SAUL WATSON (male) – actor who plays the villain, Dr. Rex Forbes

- BILLY CAREWE (male) – actor who plays the juvenile, Stephen Sellers

- VIOLET IMBRY (female) – actor who plays the ingenue, Diana Lassiter

- LOUISE PEARY (female) – a sound-and-lighting-and-scenic technician

- PHYLLIS MONTAGUE (female) – a novice community playwright

Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 24th from 6:00-9:00 PM and Monday, August 26th from 6:00-9:00 PM. You are not required to come both days, and you do not have to stay for the whole time!

Those wishing to audition should come prepared to perform cold reads from the script. Though not required, resumes and headshots are welcome.

Additionally, video auditions will be accepted, but make sure you contact FCP beforehand so we can get your audition materials to you!
