AUDITIONS: “We are the Weirdos” Cabaret Variety Show

We are SO EXCITED to announce auditions for our next Foothills Community Players cabaret variety show, “WE ARE THE WEIRDOS”! 🫶🏻🖤🫶🏻

In this show, we will be hanging out with all the monsters and misfits who don’t exactly comply with societal norms. From the tales of Frankenstein’s monster, to the misunderstood comic book villains, to the creative souls who are forced to live in a corporate world, we are celebrating everything that makes us different and unique! Who cares what’s “cool”? Who cares if we “fit in”? Who cares if we live our life differently? We know our worth, and we aren’t afraid to show it!

Come down to The Bird and The Book on October 4th and 5th to join in our celebration of all us “weirdos”! It is FREE admission, but donations are always welcome!

📢 CALLING ALL PERFORMING ARTISTS: We are looking for acts for the show! Are you a singer, a dancer, an actor, a puppeteer, a poet, a storyteller, or just dying to be onstage? Do you have a story to tell about a fictional character who goes against the grain? Do you have a personal story that you want to relay to others? We want you to showcase your talent at our show!

Auditions will be on Saturday, August 17th and Monday, August 19th from 6:00-9:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Maryville. You do not have to come to both nights, and you do not have to stay the whole time! Your audition piece does not have to be your final performance piece - our directing team will work with you throughout the rehearsal process to create your final act, if desired!

Can’t make it to auditions? We accept video auditions as well! Just email your audition piece to contact@foothillscommunityplayers.com. The deadline to submit is Monday, August 19th at 9:00 PM!
